So last week was a really really good week for me. It was a week after our fieldtrip and science congress. (thank goodness those days are over. lol.) So it was finally back to school, and we had our last student-teacher doing her presentation. We had *drum roll* Clarisse! It was the long awaited sassy fashionista’s turn, which endless to say, took a very interesting twist.

She had thought us last week, but due to some technicalities with her powerpoint, we weren’t really able to absorb as much as the fruit could offer. (what a weird metaphor, I know) so moving on, her lesson was prolonged for another week.

Her topic was about developing our viewpoints in an essay. You know, like making relevant contrasts and other tips for making sure that we make our points in an essay as effective as possible.

Which we discussed, with her powerpoint on Monday. During the day, we also did a short seatwork.

Then on Wednesday, we wrote an essay during our first period. It was about HAMILTOOOOON  WOOT WOOT *ehem* excuse me,  I mean Hamilton. Which she checked, towards the second period. And since we didn’t have anything else to do, we went upon playing more sleuth. Which she conducted herself, of course.

And that’s about it for the week. It all went pretty quick, which I think is a result for summer just being around the corner.  But nonetheless, It was still pretty eventful, I would say.

So I guess I’m going to end this with Happy Weekends to all!

Story 2A: Ligeia, By Edgar Allan Poe

chapter one: A beautiful wife

Again, similar to the Signal-Man, the diction used is quite concise and really easy to understand. However, I did pick-up some words I thought were just fitting.

rhine-is a European river that begins in the Swiss canton of Graubünden in the southeastern Swiss Alps, forms part of the Swiss-Austrian, Swiss-Liechtenstein, Swiss-German and then the Franco-German border, then flows through the Rhineland

aristocratic -of, belonging to, or typical of the aristocracy.

abbey-church with buildings where religious communities of men and women live.

agony-extreme physical or mental suffering.

ornaments-a thing used to make something look more attractive but usually having no practical purpose, especially a small object such as a figurine.
