To start this week off, we had our VocabTest which I’m very glad to have because it’s one thing keeping our grades up. Not to mention, it’s  quite fun learning new words and sometimes discovering weird ones, like the word “harry” and no, not Harry Styles from One Direction but harry meaning to harass someone.

Enough about One Direction, now let’s go back to AEP. Apart from starting the week with VocabTest, we also started it with essay writing. I don’t know a way I can make that sound exciting because, well, it’s essay writing. I guess the fun part is that we’re all really terrible at writing essays and we can look at each other in shame. It’s nice to know you’re not alone in this.

For the rest of the week we discussed about the proper way of essay writing, and how a good introduction makes a good key when writing. As Miss Disa says, it will make the writer sound “smart” and it makes the reader think you really know what you’re doing and where you’re going with your essay.

I don’t know if by the end of the year we’ll all be able to write a good essay, or if we’ll still be bad essay writers. The good thing is, we weren’t given any homework to do and besides looking forward to that, it’s almost time for the Christmas break which means there would be no school! Well, that and the fact that you get gifts as well.
